Mission Bay
Mission Bay - Belmont Park

Swimmers and sun lovers are drawn to the excellent surf conditions and soft sand Mission Bays beaches offer. Mission Bay offers boat docks and launches, sailboat and motor rentals, bike/walk paths, basketball courts, and playgrounds for children. It's one of San Diego's most fun-filled spots to visit. Public restrooms and showers are available and lifeguard stations are located in designated areas.

Nestled in the west end of the beach is a network of channels and islands - a perfect spot for everyone from wind surfers to water skiers. It's your choice to swim, enjoy the sun, rent a boat and explore the thousands of acres of waterways, stay on shore and spend the day picnicking or ride a bike along the paths enjoying the majestic scene. The Park is also home to many rare & endangered species, including the light footed clapper rail.

Mission Bay is also home to SeaWorld opened March 21, 1964 and has hosted more than 100 million guests. The park's land mass is 189.5 acres, including parking and support facilities. Since the early 1960's, SeaWorld has transformed into an internationally known theme park sheltering more than 12,000 marine and aquatic animals. More than half a dozen shows and 20 other other watery attractions including 4-D special movie attraction.

There's no place in the world like SeaWorld San Diego. Where else can you touch and feed dolphins, count the teeth on a shark and come face-to-face with a polar bear? Brave the waves on the Shipwreck Rapids adventure ride. Venture into the tail-chasing, ruckus-raising world of your pet in SeaWorld's new show Pets Rule! And just try to stay dry when the world famous Shamu comes a-splashing! During the summer you can experience the thrills of Cirque de la Mer by day and the magical Mystique de la Mer by night. Mystique de la Mer brings you amazing physical feats, mystical characters, inspiring live music, new shows and a dramatic firework show. SeaWorld San Diego - it doesn't get any closer than this.

SeaWorld has something to offer to everyone and no trip to San Diego would be complete without seeing the city's biggest star - Shamu. SeaWorld opens daily at 10:00 AM. Closing hours vary. Regular ticket price is $44.95 for adults ($48.95 for two day ticket) and $35.95 for children ages 3 through 9 ($39.95 for two day ticket), but you can buy SeaWorld tickets online directly through our website at our exclusive discounted rate.

Pacific Beach (PB) and Mission Beach is about as close as San Diego gets to Miami's gaudy South Beach. Perfect white sand beaches, endless summer weather, surfboards, string bikinis, restaurants and night clubs action never seems to stop around here. You can enjoy the walk on the famous Bayside Walk. South Mission Beach consists of two-miles stretch of sandy beach, which is probably the liveliest spot in San Diego during the summer.

Along the Board Walk, you'll see eclectic beach homes, luxury condominiums and cozy apartments. If you dreamed about staying at the beachfront property you are in luck. We have the longest list of fully furnished and fully equipped Mission Beach vacation rentals properties available at great rates. Most of our properties have balconies and patios with barbeques and direct beach access. Also some of the San Diego's best hotels and resorts (Bahia Hotel, Catamaran Resort, Hyatt Islandia, Hilton Resort) and many others are located at the Mission Bay area. Belmont Park
Giant Dipper Roller Coaster
Belmont Park. The once-abandoned amusement park between the bay and Mission Beach Board Walk is now a shopping, dining and recreation mecca. The parks offers a mix bag of fun-thrill rides, arcade games and carnie foods. Twinkling lights outline the park's centerpiece 1925 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster. Derelict and dangerous 2,600 foot caster was scheduled for demolition in the 1980s when a group of locals citizens convened a "Save the Coaster" committee. They assumed ownership of the ride and succeeded in having it declare as a national historic landmark. The San Diego Coaster Company then renovated the Giant Dipper and now runs the roller coaster itself.

Wasabi Sushi
The Wasabi Sushi sign is prominent almost as soon as you turn off the highway onto Garnet Avenue. What the sign doesn’t convey, however, is the quality that awaits you inside. Sit at the 17-seat sushi bar, in the recently renovated dining room, or on the serene outdoor patio, and treat yourself to some of the tastiest sushi around. The mostly traditional sushi menu offers over 40 rolls, plus an array of nigiri and sashimi. Try the sushi and sashimi combos for sampling, or try to select just a few of the special rolls—each one is more tempting than the last. The house specialty is the Wasabi Special Roll, featuring lobster, avocado, and shrimp tempura topped with albacore, green onion, masago and ponzu sauce. But no matter what you order, the fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable and, the staff friendly and accommodating. More ...

By incorporating ingredients from spicy pork carnitas to tofu, Chef Cruz creates a vegetarian’s haven as well as a meat-lover’s paradise. The exotic dining space is at once dramatic and hip, with accents such as an enormous 15-foot Buddha statue staring down at the dining room.
